Nominator's project description
| Professor Dancer has made fundamental contributions to our understanding of nonlinear phenomena. His work has inspired new areas of research in topics such as the bifuraction of water waves, symmetry breaking, and the dynamics of population growth models and reachtin-diffusion equations. During his stay in Germany, he will focus on the complicated, partially chaotic behaviour of infinite-dumensional dynamical systems and the structure of their equilibria in order to develop new insigts into this fascination world. |
